Electro Chemical Power Sources Laboratory
Electrochemical Power Sources Laboratory
Title of the Project:
High performing Electrode Materials: Solar Powered Energy Storage
Applications
Principal Investigator:
Dr. C. Nithya
Duration:
5 years (2012 – 2017)
Cost:
Rs. 35, 00, 000/-
Aim:
Our aim is to develop new electrode materials for alkali ion (Li, Na, Mg) and supercapacitors. This research mainly focuses on synthesis of electrode materials, investigation, fabrication and application of nanoscale materials/architectures (graphene/metal/metal oxide based composite materials) in electrochemical energy storage devices. Fabricated devices can store solar energy in the form of chemical bonds and can be utilized for various applications.
