Mr. Sankaran K, Ph.D., Research Scholar, Centre for Energy & Environmental Science and Technology (CEESAT) has received the prestigious ‘Prime Minister’s Fellowship for Doctoral Research-2012’ on the occasion of 100th Indian Science Congress held at Kolkata on 3rd January 2013. He is presently working on the research area entitled ‘Biotreatment of Distillery Wastewater’ under the guidance of Dr.(Mrs.). M. Premalatha.
Title of the Research Work: Biotreatment of raw/anaerobically treated distillery wastewater
Objectives of the work: The main objective of the research work is the effective biotreatment(Decolourization and degradation) of raw/anaerobically digested distillery wastewater commonly known as raw/biomethanated spent wash using microalgae.
