The bio-separation laboratory involves the work related to the Extraction of value-added products by an Aqueous two-phase system (ATPS), Biofuels from Microalgae, Simulation of Chemical processes, Wastewater Treatment, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The major project undergone in this lab is Desalination, Value added product from the banana extract, and production cum analysis of biodiesel from microalgae. The equipment which is used in the lab is HPLC, Spectrophotometer, Muffle furnace (Nabertherm), Photobioreactor, and the software package of ASPEN PLUS.
