Fossil and Alternate Fuel Processing Lab
Faculty in-charge: Dr K N Sheeba (Associate Professor)
Fossil and Alternate Fuel processing Laboratory (FAFL) works on finding alternate solutions to replace existing non-renewable fuel sources through the advent of nanostructured materials. With sophisticated synthesis apparatuses, the lab looks for ‘Green’ and ‘Clean’ ways for fabricating nanostructured photocatalysts for CO2 sequestration, wastewater treatment, and functional and sustainable nanoparticles for precision agriculture practices. The lab also explores various methods for the effective utilisation of agricultural wastes for smart packing and biomedical applications.
