Process Control Research Lab
Faculty Incharge: Dr. T. K. Radhakrishnan, Professor (HAG)
The process control research laboratory is under the supervision of Dr. T. K. Radhakrishnan, Professor (HAG), Department of Chemical Engineering. The major research work was carried out in the broad areas of process modeling and simulation, model-based control, control relevant identification, and process systems engineering. Our research group works on designing control algorithms using advanced process control strategies such as meta-heuristic optimization methods model predictive control (MPC) and learning-based control. The laboratory is well established with sophisticated process stations like three tank hybrid system, a Quadruple tank system, a PH control trainer, a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) control kit, high configuration work stations, and Data acquisition modules.
