The Separation Research Laboratory focus on the development of the novel cost-effective functional materials for the utilization of societal benefits applications in the field of health, energy and environmental benign nature. The major research domain includes valorization of waste/biomass into valuable products, sustainable water reclamation and biodiesel/biofuel production, and efficient drug carrier for therapeutic applications. The laboratory is equipped with facilities like FTIR, Dissolution Test Apparatus, Lyophilizer, Tubular and Box Furnace, Homogenizer, Rotary evaporator and other essential facilities. Till date, the laboratory has produced around 100 publications of SCI/Scopus indexed journals and proceeds for filing 3 patents. Further, the research group has also worked for various sponsored projects like SPARC, DBT, DST, MHRD, CSIR and industrial consultancy projects.
