The major research works carried out in the laboratory are in the area of heat transfer operations, phase change materials for energy storage, pharmaceutical crystallization, wastewater treatment and bioelectricity production using Bio electrochemical systems. Research Scholars utilize the state of art facilities and have published their findings in reputable journals like Elsevier, Wiley and other Scopus indexed journals. The laboratory is well established with sophisticated instruments and equipment  like Chemical Vapor Deposition, Equipment to measure thermal conductivity of liquids, Ultrasonicator, Desiccator, Data Acquisition System, Laminar airflow chamber, Shaker incubator, Shakers, Hot air oven, Incubator, Bomb calorimeter, colorimeter, Dissolved Oxygen meter and other  basic equipment.
