  • Assistant Professor - Construction Project Management (March 2024 – Present), Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy.
    • ​Teach construction project management subjects to B.Tech Civil Engineering and M.Tech Construction Technology and Management Students
    • Research in the areas of construction productivity, lean construction, human-robot collaboration in construction (construction automation), construction planning and control and construction workforce development and capacity building
    • Research and development of construction project management case studies on large and mega infrastructure projects executed by construction organisations
    • Involved with leading organisations such as Larsen & Toubro Ltd., TATA Projects, Afcons Infrastructure in their learning & development, corporate training and capacity-building initiatives in the area of project management

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Faculty Member – Construction Project Management (July 2020 – March 2024; ~4 years), Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Institute of Project Management, India.
    • Taught construction project management courses to project personnel of varying experience levels – from graduate engineer trainees to 20 years experienced project professionals (engineers & managers) of L&T
    • Conduct industry-oriented research to co-solve construction project management issues in collaboration with practicing engineers and managers.
    • Research and development of construction project management case studies on large and mega infrastructure projects executed by the organisation; co-developed and co-managed L&T Case Centre
    • Understanding training needs, design & development of teaching programs; collaborate with premier institutions (India/abroad) for long-term teaching/executive programs
    • Design and operationalisation of project management competency framework for the organization
    • Program managed a corporate-level talent development initiative of training 2500+ project site/planning engineers in the area of project planning and control

  • Enabling prefabricated construction to improve mass housing delivery, funded by the Australia- India Council, Dept. of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Govt. of Australia.
    • Co-organised a housing roundtable and study tours to raise awareness of the key issues and opportunities specific to mass customisation of housing in India
    • Lead author of an Industry report on mass housing delivery challenges in India
  • Co-Investigator and Action Team Member, Construction Industry Institute India (Ci3) – An initiative driven by large construction clients to improve Indian construction industry (https://ci3.co.in/)
    • Co-investigator of an initiative that was focused to develop and drive sustainable construction industry improvements by actively involving major stakeholders
    • Co-authored two scientific Journal articles & two working papers on Indian construction industry issues
  • Core Member of the Organising and Working Committee of the Launch and Regional Roundtables of Construction Industry Institute India (Ci3)
