HOW DO I REACH NIT, TRICHY?

Trichy is well connected to the major cities like Chennai, Bangalore,
Coimbatore, Salem, Cochin, etc. Private and State Transport buses ply
regularly connecting these cities to Trichy.
By Train
Trichy railway junction is an important hub on the map of Indian
Railways connecting Trichy to the other parts of the country.
By Air
Trichy airport is located about 5kms from the main city and Indian
Airlines has regular flights to Trichy.
Local Transport
National Institute of Technology is located on the Trichy-Tanjore
Highway (NH 67), about 18kms from the main city. You can avail the
local bus no. 128 or Tanjore bound buses from the Central Bus Stand
(CBS) to reach here. The journey takes about 40 minutes from CBS to
NIT (REC). Auto rickshaws and Taxis are also available from CBS which
take about 25 minutes.
WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I BRING FOR VORTEX?
Your college Identity Card and a Bonafide Certificate signed by the
Head of your Institution.
WHERE WILL I BE ACCOMODATED DURING VORTEX?
Accommodation will be provided for all the teams within the institute premises, provided you have already registered and informed the event organizers well in advance.
IS IT NECESSARY TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENTS?
Registration is compulsory for all participants. You can register for
free after coming here. For those requesting accommodation, there is a caution deposit of INR 100 which will be refunded at the end of VORTEX.
