Dr. A. K. Bakthavatsalam

Biography

Dr. A. K. Bakthavatsalam went to IITM for his undergrad in chemical engineering and subsequently to IITD for his direct PhD in energy studies. An hybrid academic by choice who chose a mid-career shift to academia after having spent close to 17 years in the steel industry. In academia too, he has been uniquely fortunate to continue to play the bridging role between industry and academia. While, he is a certified energy auditor, he is also a certified trainer and MBTI administrator - a spread he truly enjoys. He considers inducing and motivating students into societal outreach activities his calling.
