The life at the institute is a force which equips the students and prepares them for the challenges ahead. The students are the products of a transformation brought about by a rigorous academic curriculum, a healthy and interactive study culture and a broad-based orientation.
At DoMS, we firmly believe in producing well rounded personalities, hence it isn't all work and no play at our campus. Numerous skills and talents have been unearthed from amongst our students. In order to allow these talents flourish, numerous clubs have been initiated for likeminded individuals to converge and sharpen their skills. Added to this there are social service clubs which allow students get in touch with the realities in life and to contribute their bit for the upliftment of the downtrodden.
A normal student day at DoMS keeps the students engrossed with lectures, live case studies, seminars, role plays, business games, exercises, mini-projects, unstructured group work and visits. DoMS helps students discover their own selves, in terms of their personal values, strengths and aspirations. A student has an option of using a well stocked library. A well facilitated gymnasium and swimming pool is provided to keep the students physically fit. Various sports facilities like the tennis court, basketball courts, badminton courts are also provided to suit student’s interest. NITT's computer support facility is the Octagon; this centre is maintained by the Computer Support Group (CSG). This centre is open 24/7. NITT has a campus-wide Local Area Network and an 8 Mbit/s Internet connection through Software Technology Parks of India (STPI). Apart from the central computer and library facilities the department has its own internet lab and a library.
