Brief Profile: Dr. Joy Prakash Das is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, NIT Tiruchirappalli since October 2022. He received his B.Tech degree in Engineering Physics from IIT Guwahati in the year 2013 after which he worked as a Project Engineer in Wipro technologies. Being inclined towards academia, he left the corporate life to join the Ph.D. programme in Physics at IIT Guwahati and received his doctorate in the year 2019. He has one year of post doctorate experience at SNBNCBS from February 2020 to February 2021. He has qualified CSIR NET JRF in Physics (2014) and Mathematics (2017) and has qualified GATE in three subjects, viz., Physics (2015), Mathematics (2016) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (2013). His research interests includes the theoretical study of low dimensional systems using analytical tools like Bosonization and numerical tools like DMRG.
