TITLE OF THE PROJECT: MPPT CONTROL OF SURFACE PERMANENT MAGNET SYNCHRONOUS MACHINE BASED WIND ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEM USING SLIDING MODE CONTROL.
Sliding mode control technique for speed control of a surface mounted permanent magnet Synchronous generator connected to a wind turbine. The aim of speed regulation is to extract maximum power from wind. A nonlinear controller based on sliding mode control theory is designed. Simulation results are achieved to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed controller.
Based on this work, a paper has been accepted at, Third International Conference on Advances in Control and Optimization of Dynamical Systems -IIT-Kanpur.
The title for paper being: “Sliding Mode Control of Surface Mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator”.
The hardware implementation of this project is on-going.
