Academic programmes

Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering was established in the year 1993 and the first batch of students graduated from the department in the year 1997. Presently, this department offers:

One Under-Graduate program:

  • B.Tech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering.

This course has a sanctioned intake of 132 student per year who are selected by Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), 10% of the total number of students are admitted through NRI and DASA quota.

Two Post-Graduate programs:

  • M.Tech. in Process Control and Instrumentation

This course is an interdisciplinary program. Faculty from Chemical Engineering Department and Instrumentation and Control Engineering Department deliver lectures and organize practical classes.

  • M.Tech in Industrial Automation

This course started in 2020 and the first batch graduated in year 2022. This course is entirely run by faculties and staff of Department and Instrumentation and Control Engineering Department.

Research programs:

  • M.S.  in the various fields of Instrumentation and Control Engineering- regular and part-time scholars
  • Ph.D. in the various fields of Instrumentation and Control Engineering- regular and part-time scholars.

The curriculum for all the programs is being updated regularly with inputs from industries and reputed educational institutions. The department has state-of-the-art laboratories as well as young and dynamic faculty involved in providing quality education for all programs
