Sonata’s CSR vision is ‘Make a Deep Impact and Transform Lives’. The vision is to improve quality of life through technology. We identify societal needs where our technology expertise can help people enhance their skills, create learning platform for education, aid to improve awareness and reach of our traditional handicrafts and heritage. Our focus is on bridging the societal gaps in employment generation, skill building, education & entrepreneur development.

Education was the predominant theme of our CSR programs. We deepened our commitment to improving human potential and we did this with financial and technology support to deserving organizations.

The study revealed that 70% of the surveyed companies had committed their CSR spends entirely to education. Other focus areas included environment, employability & vocational training and healthcare. While we at Sonata are also focused on Education and the Environment, we are happy to be equally focused on technology incubation and underserved areas such as ‘Protection of National Heritage, Art and Culture’ and the ‘Promotion and Development of Traditional Arts and Handicrafts’.

Technology for Good is a reality. Not surprisingly, IT companies are using technology as a vehicle to deliver social impact and to lower or break barriers that impede the delivery of benefits. Several of the companies surveyed, including Sonata, have leveraged their sector expertise and employees’ skills to design relevant solutions for their NGO partners.
