Due to the prevailing COVID 19 pandemic situation, the Convocation for the class of 2020 will be held through virtual mode with limited dignitaries on the Dais.

Shri. Azim Premji, Founder and Former Chairman of Wipro, Bengaluru has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest and will deliver the Convocation Address.

Shri.Azim Premji Shri. Azim Premji is a renowned Entrepreneur.

In 2006, he was awarded Lakshya Business Visionary by National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai. In 2009, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut for his outstanding philanthropic work. He has been honoured by the Government of India with the title of Padma Bhushan for his outstanding work in trade and commerce in the year 2005. In 2011, he has been awarded Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award by the Government of India. India Today magazine ranked him 9th in India's 50 most powerful people of 2017. In 2018, he was conferred with Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur (Knight of the Legion of Honour) – the highest French civilian distinction by the French Government. In the year 2019, he was cited by Forbes magazine as one of the 'Heroes of Philanthropy list of 30 altruists' in the Asia-Pacific region.
